Release Notes for Wanguard 8.2

Wanguard 8.2 brings new features and improvements, including:

• A brand new permissions system that permits fine-grained access control over reports and configuration objects (e.g. guests can manage thresholds and responses for specific subnets)
• Improved compatibility with some Netflow v9 and IPFIX flow exporters. Speed optimizations for flow listings and flow tops. A few new Flow Filtering Expressions and Top Types (e.g. country codes, nbar IDs, payload regex). NBAR support for flow listings and tops
• A new monochrome SVG-based icon set optimized for high-resolution displays
• A new option in Configuration » General Settings » Data Retention that allows a distinct retention value for Console Events
• In the UI, 0.0.0.0/0 is displayed as /0 when it includes IPv6 addresses (::/0 matches any IP used in IPv6 addressing)
• A new toggle button in Configuration » Servers that disables the monitoring of offline servers
• Add 95th percentile values to InfluxDB and the ability to obtain the value via the REST API
• Users can change the description of manually-defined firewall rules
• A new Flow Collector option that enables Flow Sensor to analyze only the flows matching a specified criteria
• A new Deduplication option that invokes a custom script to validate the creation of each anomaly
• Support for Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, removed support for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
• Support for Rocky Linux 8.x, a successor of CentOS 8 which reached EOL and it's no longer supported
• Support for Rocky Linux 9.x, AlmaLinux 9.x, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9
• Support for PF_RING 8.2 and PF_RING 8.4
• Support for DPDK 22.11
• Updated Netmap to git master from November 2022
• Improved the layout of several configuration windows
• Many other small improvements and bug fixes
• Updated User Guide
